As a kid, shopping for school supplies was my favorite time of year. While there were certain things that were absolute necessities on the pick list, I always loved finding the coolest supplies that just made things a little more fun throughout the school year. These must-haves helped me express my individuality whether it was personalized text book covers, a cool charm for my backpack or different colored gel pens – there was no question these little indulgences made for a more special experience. Now that I have kids of my own, I not only find the perfect excuse that I’ve been looking for to shop the back to school aisles at Target, but more importantly I get to share the experience with my boys of finding the perfect backpack or lunch bag that expresses their personality the best.
