I think it’s safe to say that most of us don’t necessarily enjoy cleaning. Now, I have heard of a few people who enjoyed it and I’m sure my face made a confused look like they had a third eye because I don’t think I could ever say I enjoy cleaning. My least favorite thing to deal with are the rugs. Especially if they’re high traffic rugs. You just can’t seem to get them fully clean with all the vacuuming and beating combined.
I recently discovered a company called Ruggable. I thought they were too good to be true at first. However, as I put them in to wash for the first time, I thought I was in heaven. It was the easiest time I had ever had cleaning rugs. Ruggable‘s are a specialized rug that has two parts. Each rug has a non-slip pad that detaches from the part of the rug that gets the most traffic. The best part about these rugs is the fact that they’re washable! That’s right, just remove the top portion of the rug and throw it in the washer. You don’t have to worry about it falling apart or looking distorted when it’s finished.
In-between washes, you can easily vacuum the rugs or, if you still want a rug down while you’re washing the other one, attach another top portion to the non-slip pad you already have; they’re interchangeable! I’m terrible about staying on top of my laundry so when the rug goes into wash it may be a day or two before the rug finally makes it through the wash so I like that I have something to put in its place while it’s being washed.
Selecting the rug was a lot of fun. I got to choose out of their many designs and colors that would best suit my home design. I went for an indoor/outdoor style for our screened in back porch where we spend a lot of our time. After I chose the design and color, I got to choose a non-slip pad, and wait for it to arrive. Once it arrived, I simply put the two pieces together and immediately placed it in its new spot. It was gorgeous and pulled the space together so perfectly! I’m more obsessed with how low maintenance it is, since this area gets a TON of traffic. From the kids throwing around the dirt from my planted pots or the dog shedding and occasionally thinking he’s cute by chewing on a corner while he’s lounging, I have no doubts that this rug will withstand it all!
